The International Yoga Day: 21st June 2021

The International Day of Yoga has been celebrated annually on 21st June since 2015, following its inception in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014.

Since we are from a country where Yoga originated, DGMC participated in this international activity enthusiastically. All the staff (teaching and non-teaching) gathered in the Studio of DGMC to engage in a session of Yoga from 11: 00 am to 11: 30 am. The purpose of this activity was to share the rich heritage of Yoga with all the peers. Even though the pandemic is still on, the activity pushed all the staff to step out of their comfort zones and engage in a physical activity which not only refreshes the body but is essential for the betterment of the mind and a healthy soul.

It was a very entertaining activity even though all the procedures of social distancing were maintained and proper precautions were taken keeping in mind the ongoing Pandemic.
