The rural immersion program for the PGDM students of DGMC is a unique initiative and is instituted with an objective to sensitize the budding media managers – towards rural India. The study encompasses the consumption, execution, and effectiveness of different media vehicles. And how brands communicate to rural consumers. The students during their visit to various villages in Phaltan taluka in Satara district interacted with Gram panchayat, Angan wadi’s and rural consumers to gather insights on how law and order are maintained in the village, education system, government policies implementation, etc. The also gathered information about the media consumption, consumer lifestyles and learning’s on consumers’ needs and wants.
